Project Description

To fund the purchase of a new fire engine that will replace a 1980’s model engine allowing for quicker and dependable responses to structure fires, heart attacks, strokes, car accidents, and other emergencies. New fire apparatus will also have the ability to carry more water, equipment, and personnel, thus enhancing the effectiveness of protecting your homes and businesses from fire.

New fire engine $485,000

Bonds of the City of Heber Springs in the maximum principal amount of $485,000 for the purpose of financing all or a portion of the costs of equipment and apparatus for the fire department and, in order to pay the bonds, the levy and pledge of a 0.625% local sales and use tax within the City, which will replace an existing 0.625% sales and use tax levied in 2006 for the sole purpose of retiring bonds.
